In Delhi, Approximately 140 underprivileged school students participated in a 5-day Basketball Training Program organized by ‘ASSIST’ in collaboration with Crossover Basketball and Scholars Academy. Keeping with the overall theme of gender equality, around 70 percent of registered participants are girls.
Spearheaded by Kartikeya Goel, a class 11 student at Delhi Public School, and a junior national level basketball player, ASSIST initiatied to collaborate with Crossover Basketball and Scholars Academy to bring their ‘Hoops Creating Hope’ program to Delhi. In this endeavor, ASSIST is supported by 25 student volunteers from various schools across Delhi/ NCR.
