Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma said that the resolve of the state government is to improve the lives of people by ensuring the reach of facilities to every village, every hamlet, and every individual. He stated that the state government is working with the goal of making Rajasthan strong and prosperous.
Mr. Sharma laid the foundation stone of the Isarda-Dausa Drinking Water Project by pressing a remote button during a ceremony organized at Dungarpur village in Lalsot assembly constituency of Dausa district on Monday. Addressing the large gathering, he mentioned that by Lord Shiva's grace, the state has received ample rainfall, filling up reservoirs, including the Isarda dam.
He informed that under the Isarda-Dausa Drinking Water Project, in Lalsot, eight clean water reservoirs, five pump houses, and 47 elevated reservoirs will be constructed at a cost of approximately ₹350 crore. Furthermore, a 280 km rising main pipeline, over 200 km of main pipeline, and 1,360 km of VDS pipelines will be laid. These works, to be completed by 2027, will ensure the availability of clean drinking water to around 5.58 lakh people in 302 villages and approximately 69,000 residents of Lalsot. Mr. Sharma also announced the approval of other development works worth more than ₹120 crore in the Lalsot constituency.
Concrete Steps Taken in Water and Power Sector in the Last 1.5 Years
The Chief Minister said that in the past one and a half years, the state government has taken numerous decisions for water, electricity, infrastructure, and economic development. Steps like the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, Yamuna Water Agreement, and Mahi Dam Scheme have been initiated for a permanent solution to drinking water and irrigation problems. He said that ₹8,496 crore has been spent to provide additional irrigation facilities across 82,964 hectares. Mr. Sharma assured that farmers would receive daytime electricity by 2027.
Transparent Recruitment; Over 75,000 Youths Appointed
Mr. Sharma stated that the government is committed to creating 4 lakh government jobs in 5 years. Additionally, over 3 lakh youths have been made employable through skill development programs. In the last 1.5 years, appointment letters have been given to more than 75,000 youths through six job fairs, and recruitment advertisements have been issued for over one lakh positions. He emphasized that all government recruitments are being conducted transparently, and not a single recruitment exam paper has been leaked during their tenure.
Our 1.5 Years of Work Outweighs the Previous Government's 5 Years
The Chief Minister remarked that the development work done by the state government in the last 1.5 years surpasses what the previous government achieved in five years. While the previous government built 29,000 farm ponds in five years, his government constructed over 32,000 farm ponds in just 1.5 years. Power generation capacity increased by 4,800 MW during their tenure, compared to 3,900 MW by the former government. His government connected 1,421 villages with roads, while the former government could connect only 1,100 villages in five years.
Additionally, 89,000 students have been provided tablets in 1.5 years, whereas the previous government could distribute only 986 tablets in five years. In terms of land ownership cards, the former government distributed around 1.75 lakh cards in five years, while the present government has already distributed around 9.75 lakh cards.
Mr. Sharma also highlighted the positive outcomes of the "Vande Ganga Water Conservation Public Campaign" initiated by the government. Last year, over 7 crore saplings were planted, and this year, the target has been set to plant 10 crore saplings. He called upon the people of Rajasthan to actively participate in the mission of planting 50 crore saplings in five years.
Provision of ₹116 Crore Budget for Lalsot Constituency
The Chief Minister announced a budget provision of ₹116 crore for Lalsot constituency to expedite the related developmental works. Work orders have already been issued for the renovation and widening of SH-24 to NH-11AE via Nangal Mode, Devli Road-Lalsot Bypass. Road renovation and widening work is also being carried out from Dungarpur Mode to Dob via Haripura and from Lalsot to Khatwa on NH-148. Lalsot Municipality has been upgraded to a Municipal Council. Additionally, Shyampura Primary Health Center has been upgraded to a Community Health Center, and Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Lalsot has been upgraded to a Postgraduate College.
Agriculture & Rural Development Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the double-engine government of the state is consistently working to improve the living standards of farmers by providing high-quality fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides. He also assured that adequate compensation will be provided to those affected by excessive rainfall. Dr. Meena expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for making Isarda Dam water available to the Dausa region.
Water Supply Minister Mr. Kanhaiya Lal criticized the previous government's tenure, stating that rampant corruption in the Jal Jeevan Mission had delayed project completions. He assured that under the current government, quality work under the Jal Jeevan Mission is being expedited.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also planted a Sindoor (vermilion) sapling. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Minister of State for Home Mr. Jawahar Singh Bedham, MLAs Mr. Ramvilas Meena, Mr. Bhagchand Tankra, Mr. Rajendra Meena, Mr. Mahendra Pal Meena, Mr. Ramavatar Bairwa, Mr. Ramsahay Verma, other public representatives, senior officials, and a large number of citizens.
