The campaign "Ullas," launched by the Police Headquarters to locate missing persons, has yielded significant results. During the month-long campaign, the police successfully traced 3,826 missing men and women in the state.
Additional Director General of Police (Civil Rights & AHT) Mr. Bhupendra Sahu stated that the special campaign "Ullas" was conducted from August 1 to August 31, 2024, with the aim of reducing the number of pending cases of missing persons. At the start of the campaign, a wide publicity drive was carried out, and Mr. Sahu issued detailed instructions, including the involvement of district-level cyber cells for technical assistance.
Mr. Sahu further explained that district and station-level teams were formed, and a list of all pending MPRs (Missing Person Reports) and cases was prepared according to police circles. All teams were instructed to intensify efforts to locate as many missing persons as possible.
The Police Headquarters' Missing Persons Cell collected and compiled weekly data on the campaign's progress. During this period, a total of 3,826 missing men and women were located across the state. Notable efforts were made by districts like Ajmer, Jodhpur East, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur West, Pratapgarh, Dausa, Jodhpur West, Bundi, and Jaipur East, each contributing more than 20 percent of the traced missing individuals, demonstrating commendable action during the campaign.
