New Delhi, July 21, 2025 — In a significant political development, Jagdeep Dhankhar has officially resigned from the post of Vice President of India with immediate effect, citing medical advice and the need to prioritize his health. His resignation has been submitted in accordance with Article 67(a) of the Indian Constitution.
In a heartfelt letter addressed to the President of India, Dhankhar expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support and cordial working relationship he shared with the Hon’ble President during his tenure. He also extended his thanks to the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, highlighting the invaluable cooperation and learnings he gained from their leadership.
