The state level program of this festival is being started on 9th November at 7:30 am with a running marathon organized from the entrance of Rajasthan University to Commerce College campus.
Chief Electoral Officer Shri Praveen Gupta informed that on the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the Election Department is celebrating the campaign of adding names in the voter list across the state as a festival to make it 100% inclusive and error-free. He said that the main objective of the running marathon is to make people more and more aware to add their names in the voter list.
Adding name in voter list is special this time-
Mr. Gupta said that adding name in the voter list is special this time because youth above 17 years of age can add their name to vote in the possible assembly elections at the end of the year 2023 and the general election (Lok Sabha elections) of the year 2024. He said that while earlier only the youth who had completed 18 years on January 1 could enroll their names in the voter list, now on January 1, April 1, July and October 1, 2023, the youth who are completing the age of 18 years could add their names. , they can register to get their name added in the voter list from 9th November to 8th December 2022.
These programs will be organized-
The program will start with the speech of Chief Electoral Officer Shri Praveen Gupta at the entrance of Rajasthan University at 7:30 am. Voter awareness pledge will also be administered to the people present in the program and balloons will be released symbolically. A selfie point has also been made at the entrance of the university. The running marathon will be started by the guests by flag off. The marathon will end on the campus of Commerce College, JLN Marg, where the Chief Electoral Officer will interact with the students of the school and college along with the address of the guests. On this occasion, the Chief Electoral Officer and other guests will also visit the model polling station.

He informed that on 9th November, Voter Marathon (Walkathon) on the theme ‘Pedal for Participant Election’ and ‘Let’s become a Voter: Step by Step’ on the theme ‘No voter should be missed’ at different places across the state. will be organized. Along with this, in the special session of Election Pathshala, the draft roll (draft) of voter lists will be published and read at the polling stations. Shri Gupta has urged the booth level awareness groups and booth level agents of various political parties to actively participate in the draft reading of electoral rolls.
