World-renowned speaker, bestselling author, and entrepreneur, Yogesh Chabria headed a delegation of over 70 global CEOs for an interactive session with His Holiness The Dalai Lama in Dharamshala. The workshop was organized for corporate leaders from various backgrounds, wherein the duo addressed many high-profile global CEOs and leaders on attaining true happiness.
The five-day long workshop was designed to shed light on the critical elements which constitute the path towards achieving a fulfilling sense of happiness. The sessions addressed the spiritual and physical journey necessary for achieving this state, focusing on meditation, mindfulness, yoga, connectivity and internal happiness.
Motivational speaker, Yogesh Chabria commented, “Corporate culture can be intensely draining due to continuous stress and immense life-work imbalance. In the race to achieve professional success, we start to align our happiness with the professional goals that someone else sets for us! Not only that, we start comparing happiness with how big or small our bank balance is. A professional career is an uphill climb, but during the course of it, we forget, or perhaps stop realizing, that earning money and possessing materialistic things is not the way to achieve truly long-lasting and deeply satisfying happiness.”
The audience acquiesced with insights shared by His Holiness Dalai Lama and Mr. Chabria on the unsatisfying lifestyles most people have adopted, which leads to being in a state of unhappiness. Further elucidating on the benefits of the workshop, Yogesh said, “This workshop has been organized to explore the emotional and spiritual gap that so many of us are living with. Corporate organizations are thriving cultures where leaderships play a vital role. Thus, this attitude of prioritizing happiness needs to flow down from the top to the rest of the layers in an organization.”
