Narayan Seva Sansthan – a non- profit organization is extending support to FANI affected area of Odisha by distributing food packets and relief material. A relief team of the Narayan Seva Sansthan has distributed food packets to nearly 1,500 families affected by the storm in Kuspur, Bijapur ,Jagannathpuri, Bada narendrapur,Chota narendrapur, Nova somehwarpur and Teyispur in Puri district for the last two days.
Narayan Seva Sansthan with an aim of lending a helping hand to those who are undergoing extreme catastrophic conditions has taken initiative of reaching out to victims in the most remote tribal areas. These are the areas which are most affected by FANI and due to geographical barriers, it becomes difficult to reach out and assist people residing at such places.
Vandana Agarwal, Director, Narayan Seva Sansthan, said that it will take some more time for the situation to become normal while we are trying our best to be there and help in rescue by distributing food packets. ”
While state government’s teams are engaged in day-to-day relief work, it is very difficult because of no power, water availability.
Furthermore she added “in coming days, Narayan Seva Sansthan will be distributing more food packets to cover more than 5000 families. These packets contain Poha, Biscuit, Jaggery and Wafers etc. Narayan Seva Sansthan has deputed relief team to work in the Cyclone hit areas for one week.”
