Narayan Seva Sansthan Provides Relief to Cyclone Fani-Affected Families in Odisha
Narayan Seva Sansthan, a non-profit organization, is actively supporting the communities impacted by Cyclone Fani in Odisha by distributing food packets and essential relief materials. Over the past two days, the relief team has reached nearly 1,500 families across several severely affected areas in Puri district, including Kuspur, Bijapur, Jagannathpuri, Bada Narendrapur, Chota Narendrapur, Nova Somehwarpur, and Teyispur.
Focusing on the most remote tribal regions, where geographical challenges hinder relief access, the organization is committed to extending aid to those in critical need.
Vandana Agarwal, Director of Narayan Seva Sansthan, noted, “It will take some time for normalcy to return, but we are dedicated to assisting with rescue and relief efforts through food distribution.”
Given the difficulties caused by power outages and limited water supply, government relief teams are working tirelessly on daily operations, while Narayan Seva Sansthan complements these efforts.
Looking ahead, the organization plans to distribute food packets to over 5,000 families. These packets include essential items such as poha, biscuits, jaggery, and wafers. A dedicated relief team has been deployed to work in the cyclone-affected areas for a week to ensure continued support.
