The Agri Business Incubation (ABI) Centre of ICAR-CIRCOT, established under NIAP, is promoting entrepreneurship and supporting start-ups based on technologies related to post-harvest cotton processing and value addition of cotton by-products. Two start-ups have already been established through the incubation centre.
The institute has also launched the R-ABI centre under the revamped Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana – RAFTAAR scheme to encourage agribusiness innovation and venture creation in agriculture and allied sectors.
The incubation support covers areas such as organic farming, food processing, precision farming, artificial intelligence and IoT in agriculture, waste-to-wealth technologies, agri-engineering, cotton and natural fibres, nanotechnology, and green composites.
