As a build-up to the unprecedented ‘Ride For Change’ campaign, Ripu Daman Bevli AKA Plogman of India today organized Cyclkthon in Noida today. He was accompanied by 40 cyclists and runners from various communities like Noida Express Cyclists, Xpressway Runners, etc. Ripu covered 150 Kms from Delhi to Noida thus riding towards Knowledge Park, Pari Chowk, Kasana Village, IILM University, Noida Sector 127, Institutional area etc. This intercity ride was done to promote the message of Litter Free India. All the cyclists also took a pledge to stop littering and shun single use plastics, keeping shopping bags while going out instead of using polythene and importantly shunning throwing of trash.
The main ‘Ride For Change’ campaign will be launched on 15th August 2021 from Delhi and will cover the Golden Quadrilateral route connecting Delhi – Mumbai – Bengaluru – Chennai – Kolkata. Ripu will be covering 70+ cities. In all major cities, his team will be organizing Cyclothons, Plogging drives and Trash workout workshops. The participation will come from schools, colleges, corporates, local communities, Municipal corporations, etc.
Ripu says, “We are organizing such a similar event to spread the message and motivating people to take a first step towards making India litter free. I would want people to take a pledge and a step towards making the environment clean & greener. He further added that these promo events are a step towards our Main Campaign – Ride For Change and we are looking for participation from the citizens across India to make this success.
