The central government has decided to postpone the NEET-PG exam in light of recent irregularities in examinations. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the NEET PG exam scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed, and the new exam dates will be announced soon.
The Ministry of Health stated, "In view of recent incidents questioning the integrity of some competitive examinations, it has been decided that a thorough analysis of the NEET-PG entrance examination process conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) is necessary."
The ministry further stated, "The Ministry of Health apologizes for the inconvenience caused to the students. This decision has been made in the best interest of the students and to maintain the sanctity of the examination process."
**Exam Conducting Body Made Significant Claims**
It is noteworthy that earlier today, Dr. Rakesh Sharma, OSD to the President and member of the governing body of the National Board of Examinations for Medical Sciences (NBEMS), which conducts the NEET-PG exam, said, "We will not let the nation's hopes diminish. We will conduct the exam through the computer-based testing (CBT) mode across the country."
He claimed that NBEMS has robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for conducting the exam, which have allowed NBEMS to successfully conduct the exam year after year. These SOPs are strictly followed. NBEMS has worked hard to ensure the confidentiality of the question paper, with no possibility of it being leaked. However, now the ministry has postponed this exam as well.
