The fire, which broke out at the Teaching Block of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi has been put off completely.
As per Delhi Fire Services and AIIMS Fire Division, there has been no loss of life in the incident. Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan personally monitored the efforts on-site towards extinguishing the fire and also regarding patient care.
It is expected that the patients who were temporarily transferred from AB Wing will be shifted back by today. AIIMS in a statement said, information regarding patients admitted to the AB wing can be obtained from the control room on phone number: 011- 26593308.
The Health Minister also discussed the need to conduct a special fire audit. He commended the Director and all members of AIIMS for having taken timely steps to control the situation and make the patients comfortable.
