Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Monday directed officials to align technical education, skill development, and employment directly with industry requirements to maximize job opportunities for youth. He emphasized that training should be provided only in trades that have real industry demand, and the stipend during training must be transferred transparently to trainees’ bank accounts.
The Chief Minister issued these instructions while reviewing the Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department in Khajuraho.
Training Must Guarantee Placement
Dr Yadav called for the creation of a robust institutional mechanism that ensures guaranteed placement along with training. He also directed that nearby ITIs must introduce industry-relevant trades based on local industrial demand, enabling youth to get skilled and employed within their own regions.
Focus on Rural Youth & Agriculture-Based Trades
To strengthen rural self-reliance, the Chief Minister stressed prioritizing agriculture-linked trades such as farm equipment repair, food processing, dairy, and fisheries in ITIs.
He also directed that maximum youth be trained under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, along with solar system management training.
“Our goal is that every youth of Madhya Pradesh becomes skilled, employed, and contributes to making the state self-reliant,” Dr Yadav said.
