Rajasthan Police has significantly expanded its cybercrime infrastructure, with a new Rajasthan Cyber Crime Control Centre (R4C) and an AI-enabled emergency response system currently under development.
Addressing the media, Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma said the state government has allocated ₹100 crore in the 2026-27 Budget for establishing the R4C and an AI-powered 1930 cyber helpline call centre.
The existing cyber helpline has already been expanded to 53 operational lines functioning round the clock, while two dedicated WhatsApp numbers have also been introduced for public assistance.
Cyber police stations have now been established in all 41 police districts, with cyber help desks functioning at every police station. Since the launch of the Zero FIR facility for cyber fraud cases involving up to ₹5 lakh, police have registered 405 online FIRs.
Authorities also highlighted action against emerging threats such as digital arrest scams, under which 174 accused have been arrested since 2023 and over ₹52 crore has been frozen.
Using the CEIR portal, Rajasthan Police has traced 1.84 lakh lost mobile phones, returning more than 61,000 devices to their owners while blocking over 1.25 lakh SIM cards and 1.19 lakh IMEI numbers linked to cybercrime.
