Jaipur, July 22, 2026: Rajasthan Police has launched a month-long statewide special drive from July 20 to August 20 against criminals, drug traffickers, cybercrime suspects, illegal arms holders and traffic violators, in line with the state government's zero-tolerance policy towards crime.
The campaign is being conducted simultaneously across all police ranges and the two police commissionerates under the directions of Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma. The initiative aims to strengthen law and order while enhancing public safety and confidence.
1,259 Hardcore Criminals Targeted
During the first two days of the special campaign, police identified 1,259 hardcore criminals and initiated legal action against them. In several cases, preventive action was also taken to restrict criminal activities.
220 NDPS Cases Registered, 221 Arrested
The campaign also targeted drug trafficking networks. Rajasthan Police registered 220 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and arrested 221 accused.
In the Bikaner Range, police seized 1.700 kg and 67 mg of heroin, 2.805 kg of ganja, 4 kg of doda post and 60.48 mg of MD in commercial quantity-related operations. Police also seized 1,065 pharmaceutical drug tablets.
In other operations, 398.69 grams of chitta and 60.095 kg of post were seized.
111 Cybercrime Accused Arrested
Police took action in 52 cybercrime cases, arresting 111 accused. Authorities recovered ₹1,41,89,442 from cybercrime suspects, while ₹11,25,197 was returned to victims.
The campaign also included monitoring of cybercrime hotspots and suspicious activities. Police registered 45 cases related to illegal weapons and took action in 75 cases linked to illegal mining.
80,264 Vehicles Checked; 24,816 Traffic Violations Recorded
As part of intensified checking and naka-bandi operations across Rajasthan, police inspected 80,264 vehicles.
A total of 24,816 actions were taken under the Motor Vehicles Act, including:
- 1,603 cases of drunk driving
- 26,274 cases of driving without helmets
- 1,637 cases of driving without seat belts
- 1,457 cases involving black films
- 5,580 cases of overloading
- 33,341 cases involving other traffic violations
The month-long campaign will continue across Rajasthan, with police focusing on criminal networks, drug trafficking, cybercrime, illegal weapons and violations of traffic regulations.
