In a decisive crackdown on corruption within the police force, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Jaipur has arrested Sub-Inspector Rajkumari Juneja after she was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹1.25 lakh. Juneja was posted at the Gandhinagar Police Station.
Demanded ₹2 lakh to stop action on FIR
According to ACB Director General Govind Gupta, the complaint was filed at Jaipur Nagar III outpost regarding Case No. 380/2024, registered under IPC Sections 420, 406, 467, 468, and 471.
The complainant alleged that SI Juneja had demanded ₹2 lakh in exchange for not taking action and for withholding the FIR in the case.
Trapped with cash in hand
On Wednesday evening, ACB officials laid a trap. Juneja was apprehended on the spot while accepting ₹1.25 lakh, which was immediately recovered from her possession.
Investigation continues
The operation was carried out under the supervision of ACB Additional Director General Smita Srivastava. Officials confirmed that a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act will be registered. Interrogation and further investigation are currently underway.
