Bhilwara/Jaipur, April 5, 2026:
In a major boost to judicial infrastructure in Rajasthan, the foundation ceremony for a new modern district court complex in Bhilwara was held on 62 bigha of land at Sanganer-Taswariya, marking the beginning of what officials described as a transformative step for accessible and efficient justice delivery.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rajasthan High Court Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma stressed that while the judiciary must increasingly adopt modern technologies such as e-courts, digital filing, video conferencing, and online services, the solutions must remain practical, outcome-oriented, and citizen-friendly.
He said the new complex should include adequate courtrooms, well-planned lawyer chambers, digital records management systems, a library, waiting areas, and parking facilities, ensuring smooth judicial operations and better public access.
The event also included the formal land worship ceremony (bhumi pujan) for the court complex and the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected executive body of the Bhilwara District Bar Association for 2026.
Among those present were Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari, Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati, Justice Farzand Ali, Justice Praveer Bhatnagar, and District & Sessions Judge Abhay Jain, along with senior judicial officers, administrators, advocates, and public representatives.
Addressing the gathering, Diya Kumari said the ceremony was not merely the start of a construction project but the laying of a strong foundation for the future of justice delivery in the region. She described the judiciary as the cornerstone of democracy, adding that accessible and efficient justice strengthens public trust and social stability.
Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati highlighted the rising participation of women in the judicial sector, calling it a positive sign for a more inclusive and stronger justice system.
Justice Farzand Ali encouraged young lawyers to focus on continuous reading and hard work, while Justice Praveer Bhatnagar congratulated the newly elected bar body, saying advocates are not just representatives of the legal fraternity but also guardians of the rule of law and citizens’ rights.
