Jaipur, 18th July, 2024 : Vi Foundation, the CSR arm of India’s leading telecom operator Vi, along with Ericsson India and Moinee Foundation, in partnership with the Government of Rajasthan, successfully hosted Robotsav, the inaugural edition of a national inter-school Robotics competition. The event, conducted at the Rajasthan International Center in Jaipur, was graced by Shri Kailash Mishra, Assistant Director, RSC & Science Park, Jaipur, and Mr. Brijesh Singh, Circle Operations Head, RAD-Rajasthan, Vi amongst others. The winners of the various competitions were felicitated with certificates and gifts by Shri Mishra and Mr. Singh and other dignitaries.
50 Schools from Jaipur and nearby cities participated in the Robotics Exhibition as well as the Robotics Competition. The Robotics Competition saw students from different age groups build and operate their own Robots as they battled it out in arenas to claim the top three prizes. This competition illustrated the students’ ability to think on their feet and their expertise with electronics.
The Robotics Exhibition was a colourful and vibrant display of the different applications that Robots have in the contemporary world. Students, under the able guidance of their teachers and mentors, brought to life the different ways in which Robotics can help make life easier and better.
The First Prize in the Robotics Competition for class 6-9 was won by Chahat Public Sr. Sec School. Mahatma Gandhi Govt. School Jawaja, Beawar secured the second position in this category. The top Prize for students from Class 10-12 was awarded to Govt. Sr. Sec. School Thikiya, Gujran. Govt. Sr. Sec. School Balaran, Sikar won the second Prize and the Third spot was clinched by Seedling Modern School.
The Palace School won the ‘The Best Project’ under the Science Exhibition. The Banyan Tree School won ‘The Best Use of Resources’ and the Cambridge High School won the ‘The Best Stall Display’.

Through their Digital Labs programme, Vi Foundation and Ericsson India have established advanced robotics labs in ten schools across India, providing state-of-the-art learning experiences and access to the latest technology, particularly for the underserved students.
