The Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla successfully organized the 2nd National Virtual Moot Court Competition, 2021 scheduled from October 29th-31st, 2021. The Competition saw the participation of 64 teams from across the length and breadth of the country.
The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Justice Surya Kant (Judge, Supreme Court of India), co-panelled by Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal (Vice Chancellor, HPNLU, Shimla) and Guest of Honour, Justice C.B. Barowalia (Judge, High Court of Himachal Pradesh).
The dignitary, Hon’ble Justice Surya Kant (Judge, Supreme Court of India), highlighted the importance of mooting and exhorted all the students to actively take part in Moot Court Competitions. As the moot problem was based on matter of public interest, he appreciated the approach of the Competition.
The competition was scheduled from October 29th-31st, 2021. A total of 64 teams registered for the competition of which 32 teams competed in the oral rounds. The Chief Guest for the inaugural session was Prof. (Dr.) Vijaykumar (Vice Chancellor, NLIU, Bhopal), co-panelled by Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal (Vice Chancellor, HPNLU, Shimla) and Guest of Honour, Mr. Gagan Anand (Managing Partner at Legacies Law offices).
