The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught Sirikonda Saidulu, Assistant Divisional Engineer, Devarakonda, Nalgonda district, allegedly while accepting a ₹30,000 bribe from a contractor.
According to the ACB, the official had demanded the money for processing and forwarding a ₹10 lakh bill related to electrical restoration work carried out after a storm damaged a 33/11 kV power line on October 29, 2025.
The complainant had undertaken the emergency restoration work, and the pending bill was awaiting departmental clearance. The ADE allegedly sought illegal gratification to move the file forward.
Acting on a complaint, ACB officials laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe amount.
The case follows a series of recent anti-corruption operations by Telangana ACB involving public works and engineering officials.
