New Delhi, July 17, 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET UG 2026 state-wise topper list, with Punjab's Aryan Gupta and Haryana's Panshul Bansal jointly securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 after scoring 715 out of 720 marks. The results also highlighted Rajasthan's dominance among the country's top performers, with the state contributing the highest number of candidates in the top 100 ranks.
The NEET UG 2026 examination, conducted after the June 21 re-test, witnessed nearly 20 lakh candidates, of which 11.21 lakh qualified for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical programmes.
Rajasthan Leads Top 100
An analysis of the top 100 rank holders showed that Rajasthan emerged as the best-performing state with around 12 candidates, followed by Maharashtra with 11.
Other leading states included:
- Punjab: 8 candidates
- Delhi: 8 candidates
- Tamil Nadu: 7 candidates
- Gujarat: 6 candidates
- Karnataka: 6 candidates
- Haryana and Telangana: Multiple candidates each in the top 100
Top 10 Rank Holders
According to the NTA, the leading ranks include:
- AIR 1: Aryan Gupta (Punjab)
- AIR 1: Panshul Bansal (Haryana)
- AIR 3: Uplakshya Goyal (Rajasthan)
- AIR 4: Ayush Bhalotia (Bihar)
- AIR 5: Shravani Kudale (Maharashtra)
- AIR 6: Riya Ranjan (Bihar)
- AIR 7: Aryan Dubey (Uttar Pradesh)
Women Shine in Top Ranks
Female candidates secured several top positions in this year's examination.
Among the highest-ranked women were:
- Shravani Kudale (Maharashtra) – AIR 5
- Riya Ranjan (Bihar) – AIR 6
- Mansha Garg (Haryana)
- Vaishnavi Das (Karnataka) – AIR 20
- Kashvi Dhall (Delhi) – AIR 24
- Namala Prerana (Andhra Pradesh) – AIR 36
- Ashi Goyal (Punjab)
The state topper list also featured women leading several states and Union Territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Goa, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra, Nagaland and West Bengal.

The NTA released topper lists for all 36 States and Union Territories, highlighting participation from every region of the country.

- Sabyasachi Laskar (West Bengal) – AIR 35
- Jigmet Yangchan Lamo (Ladakh)
- Dhruv Tripathi (Andaman & Nicobar Islands)

With results now declared, qualified candidates will proceed to the counselling process for admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical courses through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and respective state counselling authorities.
