A massive fire broke out on Thursday morning at a hotel in Ajmer, resulting in the tragic deaths of four individuals who were burned alive, while several others sustained serious injuries. Rescue operations are still ongoing.
Gruesome Scene at the Spot
The incident occurred in the Diggi Bazaar area of Ajmer at the Naaz Hotel. The fire, which reportedly started in the early morning, quickly filled the hotel rooms with thick smoke. Panic ensued as guests tried to flee for their lives. Those unable to escape were trapped and perished in the flames.
Eyewitnesses described a horrifying scene — people were seen jumping out of windows to escape. In one heartbreaking incident, a mother threw her 1.5-year-old child out of the window to save him. Thankfully, people standing below managed to catch the baby, who suffered only minor burns.
Many tourists were staying at the hotel, having rented rooms to rest. When the fire broke out, most of them rushed to escape. While many were able to save themselves, four individuals were unable to make it out.
According to eyewitness accounts, the fire began after an air conditioner exploded and rapidly spread to the upper floors. People began jumping from windows in desperation. Tragically, not everyone survived.

A 20-year-old young man
Mohammad Zahid (40), a resident of Moti Nagar, New Delhi
The injured include:
1.5-year-old Ibrahim
Krishna
Alka
Dhawan
They are currently being treated at JLN Medical College. The college's principal, Dr. Anil Samaria, confirmed that eight people were brought in, out of whom four were declared dead.
