Madhya Pradesh Police have intensified their crackdown on crime, successfully solving multiple high-value robbery and theft cases across the state over the past week. Through swift investigations, technical analysis, and a strong intelligence network, police teams recovered stolen property worth more than ₹68 lakh and arrested several accused involved in organised criminal activities.
District-wise Action Highlights
Sehore:
Shahganj police recovered stolen iron poles and pipes belonging to the electricity department, seizing assets worth ₹90,000. In another major breakthrough, Jawar police cracked a theft case from village Kajlas, recovering 30 tolas of gold, 3 kg of silver, and ₹2 lakh in cash—valued at nearly ₹48 lakh.
Gwalior:
Kampoo police solved a robbery involving a liquor trader’s accountant. Four accused were arrested, and ₹1.70 lakh in stolen cash along with the vehicle used in the crime was recovered.
Vidisha:
Kotwali police arrested one accused and detained a juvenile in a shop theft case, recovering 11 batteries, an auto-rickshaw, and assets worth ₹2.64 lakh. Additionally, a series of thefts in Ram Janki Temple, Shankar Nagar, and Mukherjee Nagar areas were solved. After analysing over 130 CCTV footage clips, police arrested four accused and seized silver jewellery, cash, and a motorcycle worth ₹3.75 lakh.
Tikamgarh:
Bamorikala police solved a theft case within 24 hours, arresting two accused and recovering stolen property worth ₹4.54 lakh.
Burhanpur:
Nepanagar police dismantled a gang involved in stealing aluminium power cables. Three accused were arrested, and aluminium wires along with an Ertiga car used in the crime—worth ₹6.50 lakh—were seized.
