Karauli, April 16: In a major anti-corruption operation, the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau trapped Nadoti SDM Kajal Meena, her reader Dinesh, and UDC Praveen while allegedly accepting a ₹60,000 bribe in Karauli district. The action was carried out by the Sawai Madhopur ACB team.
According to officials, the accused officers were allegedly demanding the bribe in exchange for an order in a land partition (takseema) dispute case. Acting on a complaint filed by the complainant, the ACB first verified the allegations and then executed a planned trap operation, catching the trio red-handed with the bribe amount.
During the raid, the team also reportedly recovered an additional ₹4 lakh in cash, the source and relevance of which are now under detailed scrutiny as part of the ongoing investigation.
The arrests have triggered a stir in administrative circles, especially as the case involves a serving SDM-level officer. ACB officials are currently questioning all three accused, and further disclosures are expected as the probe expands into the recovered cash trail and possible past transactions.
The case is being seen as another significant corruption crackdown in Rajasthan’s revenue administration, where land-related decisions remain a sensitive and high-risk area for bribery allegations.
