In a major anti-corruption operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested the director of a women’s training college in Jaipur while she was accepting a bribe. The accused, Bhavar Kanwar, Director of Meera Keshav Women Training College, was caught red-handed during a trap action on Tuesday.
According to ACB officials, the director allegedly demanded a bribe in exchange for completing a student’s attendance records, which were short of the required criteria. The complainant approached the Jaipur ACB, stating that the director had been repeatedly pressuring her due to incomplete attendance and later agreed to resolve the issue in return for ₹5,000.
Following the complaint, the ACB verified the allegations and found them to be genuine. Subsequently, a trap was laid by the ACB Jaipur Unit-I. During the operation, Police Inspector Archana Meena led the team that apprehended Director Bhavar Kanwar while she was accepting ₹4,500 as part of the bribe amount.
The accused has been taken into custody, and ACB officials are questioning her. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is underway.
