On 9th November, 2024, students from IITM, an IP University affiliated college, participated in an informative educational visit to the Big Data, IoT and Cloud Computing Laboratory at the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). The excursion was guided by Dr. Manzoor Ansari, an Assistant Professor at IITM, who accompanied students throughout this enlightening experience.
The laboratory, developed by Prof. Mansaf Alam of the Department of Computer Science at JMI, is a premier facility funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Prof. Alam guided the students through an interactive demonstration of the advanced devices and equipment available in the lab. He showcased the wide array of cutting-edge IoT devices and sensors in action, providing the students with a first- hand experience of the lab’s capabilities and the dynamic field of Big Data, IoT, and Cloud Computing.
The students were thrilled to observe the state-of-the-art technology in the lab, gaining practical insights and understanding of how these technologies are deployed in real-world applications. This experience not only broadened their academic knowledge but also motivated them to delve deeper into these rapidly evolving fields.
