With trap operations increasing across Rajasthan, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) continues to urge citizens to report any instance of bribery or corruption at the earliest stage. The bureau, which recently carried out multiple successful actions across Jaipur, Dholpur, and Bharatpur, has laid out clear channels through which the public can file complaints.
According to officials, most ACB investigations begin when a citizen is approached by a public servant demanding illegal gratification in return for performing an official duty. The bureau emphasizes that citizens should immediately contact ACB before paying any bribe.
Multiple Channels to Lodge a Complaint
The Rajasthan ACB has established several officially monitored communication routes:
1. Helpline Number: 1064
This is the bureau’s primary statewide hotline. Citizens can directly call this number to report a bribe demand. Officials record the details and immediately initiate a verification process.
2. WhatsApp Helpline: 94135 02834
The WhatsApp number is widely used by complainants to share supporting material, including audio recordings, screenshots, message logs, or location details. These help ACB verify the complaint and plan further action.
3. Email: complt.acb@rajasthan.gov.in
For detailed written submissions or when multiple documents are involved, citizens can file complaints through email. ACB acknowledges these communications and contacts the complainant for further procedures.
4. ACB Offices
Members of the public can visit the Anti-Corruption Bureau headquarters at:
J-9, Jhalana Institutional Area, Jaipur, Rajasthan
Tele/Fax: 0141-2712263
Range offices across the state also accept complaints and coordinate with local teams for verification and trap operations.
What Happens After a Complaint Is Filed
Once a complaint is received, ACB conducts a preliminary verification to establish the authenticity of the bribe demand. If verified, a trap is arranged, as seen in recent cases where government officials — from police personnel to department secretaries — were caught red-handed while accepting bribe money.
The accused is arrested on the spot, the bribe amount is seized, and further investigation is conducted under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Senior ACB officials, including the Director General and Additional Director General, supervise these operations.
ACB Appeals for Public Cooperation
The bureau reiterates that corruption cases can only be addressed effectively when citizens come forward with timely information. ACB officials stress that every verified complaint is acted upon, and identity of complainants is kept confidential throughout the process.
