National Disaster Response Force continues to carry out flood rescue and evacuation operations in flood-affected regions across the country. NDRF personnel are actively reaching stranded residents in low-lying areas while also distributing relief materials and providing medical assistance.
In Assam, the flood situation has improved in some areas but remains critical in others. NDRF teams deployed in Morigaon district conducted rescue and relief operations, evacuating 165 stranded people to safer locations. The teams also provided medical assistance to 83 affected residents. So far, more than 5,830 people have been evacuated by NDRF teams in Assam.
In Bihar, water levels have started receding in several inundated areas. NDRF personnel deployed in Darbhanga district evacuated 20 stranded people and shifted them to safer places. Teams also assisted the state administration in organising medical camps and distributing relief materials. To date, NDRF teams have evacuated more than 4,400 people in Bihar.
A 24x7 NDRF control room in Delhi is continuously monitoring the ongoing rescue operations and coordinating with other agencies for emergency response. S. N. Pradhan is personally overse
