Rajasthan Police has significantly improved both investigation timelines and recovery of stolen property, according to Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma.
Presenting the department's performance review, Sharma said police have sharply reduced investigation periods for crimes involving women and children. The average investigation time in POCSO cases has been reduced from 78.2 days to 51.2 days, while investigations in rape cases have been brought down from 81 days to 52 days.
Police also reported major improvements in recovering stolen property. Recovery in robbery cases increased from 71% to 79.09%, while burglary recovery rates jumped dramatically from 9.58% to 58.24%. Recovery of stolen property in theft cases also improved from 10.34% to 24.79%.
To further strengthen women's safety, Rajasthan Police has expanded initiatives including Kalika Patrol Units, Anti-Romeo Squads, One Stop Crisis Centres, Suraksha Sakhi, and Mahila Salah Suraksha Kendras under Operations Garima and Khushi.
Officials said the improvements reflect greater operational efficiency alongside victim-centric policing.
