
National, 09th September, 2021: Narayan Seva Sansthan – a non- profit organization, shall be organising the 36th Mass Wedding of differently abled & underprivileged couples on 11th September 2021 at Udaipur, Rajasthan. The mass wedding will be organised in the smart village which has been constructed within the campus by Narayan Seva Sansthan where 21 couples will tie a knot. Couples shall promote the 19 year old ‘Say No To Dowry’ campaign to fight the dowry system in the society.
The wedding will witness the presence of the family of the couples alongwith guests and donors who have donated for a bright future of couples. At NSS, most of the couples have undergone ‘free of cost’ corrective surgery and received skill training to lead the better life.
While addressing the virtual press conference, Prashant Agarwal, President, Narayan Seva Sansthan said, “This is the 36th Mass wedding ceremony which is in its 19th year of the flagship campaign of ‘Say No To Dowry’. The mass wedding shall be conducted by following all COVID-19 protocols and shall be concluded in a very simple manner. Due to the ongoing pandemic NSS shall follow a 3 layer protection for preventing covid-19 by wearing mask, social distancing and sanitization at every entry and exit gate. Also, NSS Volunteers will request people to wear masks and maintain social distancing. “
Donors shall gift home appliances and shall conduct the KanyaDaan of all married couples in the wedding. During the pandemic, NSS ran multiple campaigns to help the needy with food and mask distribution camps, artificial limbs distribution, Ration kits distribution, PPE kits, and NSS Corona Kits and free helping numbers for consulting differently-abled including donating funds in the CM Care fund.
