Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign in Pachmarhi on Tuesday, following a cabinet meeting held in memory of freedom fighter Raja Bhobut Singh. As a tribute to his mother and a message for environmental conservation, the CM planted a mango sapling at the newly renamed Raja Bhobut Singh Udyan, formerly known as Bal Udyan.
Deputy Chief Ministers Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla, along with other ministers, also planted mango saplings in their mothers' names, actively participating in the campaign and honoring maternal contributions.
The CM said that Pachmarhi is a divine gift of nature and a place of rare natural beauty, which the government is committed to developing further. Highlighting Raja Bhobut Singh’s valor, Dr. Yadav praised his fearless fight against the British and emphasized how such heroes are being honored under PM Narendra Modi’s vision of “From Heritage to Development.”
Dr. Yadav also announced that on June 14–16, a legislative training session will be held in Pachmarhi with all MLAs and MPs to draft a development roadmap for the region.
