Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is continuously progressing in the direction of "Heritage and Development." He emphasized that hosting cabinet meetings and major events at the work sites of iconic leaders further strengthens the state’s resolve for development. The legacy of figures like Rani Durgavati, Maharaja Vikramaditya, Ahilyabai Holkar, and now Raja Bhobut Singh is being celebrated to keep their contributions alive in public memory.
Speaking at a tourism development event held at Hotel Amaltas in Pachmarhi, Dr. Yadav inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various tourism projects worth over ₹33 crore. He announced that the Pachmarhi Garden will now be known as Raja Bhobut Singh Udyan, and the government college in Pachmarhi will also bear his name. Additionally, a tribal museum will be established, and facilities such as a waiting area and tin shed will be built at the sacred site of the Korku community.
A logistics park will also be developed in Narmadapuram, which is expected to boost regional growth.
Dr. Yadav described Pachmarhi as a place of exceptional natural beauty and historical significance. The state government is committed to removing development hurdles and positioning Pachmarhi as a leading tourist destination. He also said the decision to hold a cabinet meeting in memory of freedom fighter Raja Bhobut Singh honors his bravery and patriotism, keeping his legacy alive in both memory and culture.
New Jungle Safari Vehicles Flagged Off
The Chief Minister flagged off 11 Trax Cruiser vehicles for jungle safaris, offering a new facility for wildlife enthusiasts and tourists. These 9-seater, comfortable vehicles will be distributed across various units of the tourism corporation to enhance the safari experience.
Inauguration and Foundation of Projects Worth ₹33.88 Crore
Dr. Yadav inaugurated 5 completed projects worth ₹12.49 crore, including:
Pink toilet lounge at Jatashankar and Pandav Caves (₹19 lakh)
Pathways on both sides of roads in Jaystambh area (₹10 crore)
Water pipeline and pump house at Dhoopgarh (₹60 lakh)
Beautification of Pachmarhi entrance gate (₹35 lakh)
Renovation of kitchen, restaurant, and swimming pool at Satpura Retreat (₹1.35 crore)
He also laid the foundation for 6 new projects worth ₹21.39 crore, such as:
Tourist amenities at Handi Khoh (₹1.98 crore)
Infrastructure in Satpura Tiger Reserve (₹2.13 crore)
RO water plant to support a plastic-free Pachmarhi (₹34 lakh)
Conversion of Hilltop Bungalow into homestay (₹6.70 crore)
Development of a community center (₹9.90 crore)
Establishment of a central nursery at Glen View (₹34 lakh)
