Narayan Seva Sansthan organised an Artificial Limb Distribution Camp in Bapu Nagar, Ahmedabad, benefiting 50 specially-abled individuals, including polio-affected persons and those who lost limbs due to diabetes, accidents and other medical conditions.
Earlier in July, the organisation conducted a measurement camp under the supervision of Sushil Kumar, where beneficiaries were assessed for customised artificial limbs.
Dr. Sushil Kumar said artificial limbs play a crucial role in improving mobility and enhancing the quality of life for differently-abled individuals by helping them regain independence and mobility support.
Prashant Agarwal said the organisation has so far distributed around 99,133 calipers, 10,452 wheelchairs and 3,646 tricycles across the country. He added that the organisation regularly conducts measurement and distribution camps across India to support underprivileged differently-abled individuals.
Narayan Seva Sansthan also operates a “Smart Village for Differently-Abled” equipped with facilities designed to support the needs of specially-abled individuals. The organisation has a network of 480 branches in India and 86 branches overseas dedicated to disability support and rehabilitation.
As part of its services, the organisation also provides free transportation from Udaipur Railway Station along with complimentary accommodation and meals for patients and their families at its guest house facilities.
