A strong wave of buying lifted several frontline and mid-cap stocks to new 52-week highs on Thursday, signalling renewed investor confidence despite global volatility. Companies across sectors—from telecom and specialty chemicals to small-cap manufacturing—registered fresh breakouts, reflecting improving risk appetite and robust domestic liquidity.
Apex Hits Fresh 52-Week High After 20% Surge
Apex delivered one of the most striking moves of the session, rising 20% to clock a new 52-week high of ₹332.28. The stock’s sharp rally, coupled with strong volumes, indicates aggressive accumulation by traders betting on continued momentum in the industrial and engineering space. The previous peak of ₹305.99, hit just a day earlier, was comfortably breached.
Bharti Airtel Extends Rally, Touches New Lifetime Zone
Telecom giant Bharti Airtel also joined the list of new highs, touching ₹2,174.50 and closing at ₹2,165. The stock continues to outperform on the back of rising ARPU expectations, premium subscriber additions and a favourable industry cycle. The move marks a continuation of sustained strength for one of India’s most widely held large-cap counters.
Anuras Climbs Over 5%, Breaks Previous High
Specialty chemicals company Anuras advanced 5.32%, taking the stock to ₹1,255, a fresh 52-week high. The breakout above its earlier high of ₹1,197 suggests strong sectoral momentum and improving sentiment around mid-cap chemical manufacturers.
Aimtron, Aprameya Touch New Highs Despite Intraday Volatility
Small-cap technology player Aimtron touched a new high of ₹1,040 before closing lower at ₹995, down 1.74%. Despite the dip, the counter remains on the radar of momentum traders as it continues to form higher highs.
Similarly, Aprameya scaled a new 52-week peak of ₹360, surpassing its earlier level of ₹358.85 before ending the day slightly weaker. Analysts attribute the trend to steady interest in emerging small-cap themes, even as intraday swings remain elevated.
Market Outlook: Breakout Rally Signals Underlying Strength
The broad-based breakout across large-cap and mid-cap names suggests improving domestic sentiment supported by strong liquidity, stable macro indicators and expectations of steady earnings growth. Analysts believe that as long as volatility remains contained, stocks hitting new highs could continue to attract momentum-driven inflows.
However, they caution that elevated valuations in pockets of the market warrant selective stock picking and disciplined risk management.
