There has been rising awareness about eco-friendly living which is an act of intent to not provide harm to the environment and ensure that humans live in harmony with nature. The world over people and organisations at different levels are finding alternate ways of creating better living that ensure harmony with nature and an effort to conserve the basic resources.
Eco-friendly technologies are involved in making use of alternate energy source which is abundant to generate renewable energy, reducing the amount of resources which is limited used through the conventional like fossil fuels. There are various technologies and materials developed by various research organisations, innovators and manufacturers in India that are beneficial in the housing constructions.
The eco-friendly building material represent a response from the building sector intended to reduce the environmental cost of making and using buildings. In the construction industry, selection of sustainable structural materials during the design phase leads to move towards more sustainable construction. Therefore, there is a need to select more eco-friendly building materials to be used in constructions. The rising use of wooden and pre-fabricated wooden solutions provide an environment friendly, cost effective and a long-term comfortable living solution for the Indian populace like in the West.
The eco-friendly building materials like wood have a longer life-span with minimum maintenance while minimizing the extraction of raw materials, easy to move, easy to work, easily available and affordable. These are the ideal solutions for minimizing damage to human life and property in case of a natural calamity or a catastrophe. The Indian government after a spate of recent events across the country in the last couple of years is also actively supporting the cause of wooden homes installations which are also being actively adopted by the hospitality industry in the country to reduce carbon footprint and green houses gases emission. They are giving a whole new feel of living in sync with nature to the people hence enabling them to understand the eco-friendly sustainable living concept through a bird’s eye view.
Environment friendly practices in the construction industry are the need of the hour as the conventional construction industry is no different which employs resources, generates waste and emits harmful green gases. Hence the need to switch to sustainable buildings and work towards saving our Earth has become a focal point.
