Jamia Senior Secondary School, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), held its esteemed Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025 in the MP Hall located within the school premises on July 16, 2025. The event was honored by the distinguished presence of Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi (Registrar, JMI) as the Chief Guest. Additional dignitaries present included Prof. Iqtidar Mohammad Khan (Honorary Coordinator, NCC, JMI), Dr. Shah Abul Faiz (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Fine Arts, Assistant Proctor, JMI), Mrs. Nusrat Jahan (Headmistress, Jamia Middle School), Mrs. Rukhsana Praveen (Director, Mushir Fatma Nursery School), and Mrs. Shagufta Shandar (In-charge, Syed Abid Hussain Senior Secondary School), along with faculty members and students.
The program began with a ceremonial march past by NCC cadets, followed by a heartfelt recitation from the Holy Quran by a student. Dr. Mohd Arshad Khan, Principal of Jamia Senior Secondary School, welcomed all guests with saplings as a representation of growth, sustainability, and goodwill. Sashes and badges were officially awarded to the newly elected members of the Student Cabinet, who subsequently took an oath to serve their school community with sincerity, responsibility, and leadership.
The event also recognised and celebrated the achievements of NCC cadets who had recently represented the school at various platforms and brought accolades through their commendable performances. They were honoured with prizes during the ceremony. A series of cultural performances followed, showcasing the vibrant talent of the students through group and solo dances and poetry recitations.
In his address, Chief Guest Mr. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi emphasised the importance of leadership, self-discipline, and continuous personal growth. He encouraged students to explore their potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
The ceremony came to a close with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mohd Arshad Khan, Principal of Jamia Senior Secondary School. He expressed his appreciation to all dignitaries, faculty members, students, and organizers for their support and involvement in ensuring the event's remarkable success. The program concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
