Jaipur, July 9 – Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Shri Vasudev Devnani, extended his heartfelt greetings to all citizens of the country on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima.
In his message, Shri Devnani stated that a guru is not only a beacon of knowledge but also a seer who provides direction to the soul. In times of confusion and darkness in life, it is the guru who becomes the light of truth and guides the way forward. He emphasized that in India’s cultural tradition, the position of the guru is of the highest honor. The guru is the force that awakens dormant consciousness within an individual and leads them towards self-realization. Today, it is essential that we understand the deeper meaning of "gurutva" (the essence of the guru) — not merely as a person, but as the embodiment of discipline, righteousness, and self-awareness in life.
Shri Devnani called upon the youth to embrace excellence in character, thought, and duty under the guidance of a true guru. He remarked that the guru-shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition is the very foundation that has made India a global beacon of spirituality, knowledge, and morality.
