New Delhi, 12 June 2026: The Women’s Hospital (TWH), India’s first multi-speciality hospital dedicated exclusively to women, has announced the appointment of Dr. Anjila Aneja as Executive Director – Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Minimal Access & Robotic Surgery. The appointment adds significant clinical depth to TWH’s women’s health programme, particularly across high-risk obstetrics, pelvic endoscopy, endometriosis management and advanced minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Anjila Aneja is a distinguished senior obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 34 years of clinical and surgical experience. She is widely recognised for her expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and complex gynaecological conditions. With extensive proficiency in laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and robotic procedures, she has established herself as a trusted name in women’s healthcare and pelvic endoscopic surgery.
At The Women’s Hospital, Dr. Aneja will lead key clinical programmes across high-risk maternity care, pelvic endoscopy, complex gynaecological conditions and minimally invasive surgery. She will also support the hospital’s robotic surgery capabilities and strengthen its specialised clinics for adolescent, reproductive and menopausal health.
In addition, Dr. Aneja will lead TWH’s Endometriosis Centre of Excellence, the first dedicated centre of its kind in North India for comprehensive multidisciplinary care for women suffering from endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. The centre will bring together advanced diagnosis, minimally invasive treatment, fertility support, pain management and long-term care pathways for women who often spend years seeking answers for their symptoms.

Dr. Aneja holds an MBBS, MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from PGIMER Chandigarh, DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MRCOG (UK), FRCOG (UK), a Diploma in Pelvic Laparoscopy from Germany, and a Fellowship in Advanced Endometriosis Management from IFEM Endo Bordeaux, France. She currently serves as Vice Chairperson of IRC-RCOG North Zone and is an Executive Member of AOGD.
