Indian equity markets are set for a subdued opening on Tuesday, with GIFT Nifty trading marginally lower. At around 6:45 a.m., GIFT Nifty was down 0.07% at 25,943.50, pointing to a muted start for the Nifty 50.
In the previous session, domestic benchmarks closed in the red. The NSE Nifty slipped 100.2 points, or 0.38%, to settle at 25,942.1, while the BSE Sensex declined 345.91 points, or 0.41%, ending at 84,695.54.
Stocks such as IndiGo, Bandhan Bank, Indian Bank, and Bharat Electronics (BEL) are expected to remain in focus during today’s trade.
