SpiceJet, the country’s favourite airline, has crossed yet another major milestone as it inducted its 100th aircraft – a Boeing 737 – into its fleet.
SpiceJet, the country’s favourite airline, today announced the launch of its new non-stop international flight connecting national capital Delhi with Ras Al Khaimah making it the airline’s 12th international destination.
SpiceJet also announced the launch of 12 new flights on its domestic network. The new flights include services on the Mumbai-Adampur-Mumbai sector, which comes under UDAN or the regional connectivity scheme. Flights on this sector will commence from November 25, 2020 and this latest addition will take the tally of SpiceJet’s daily UDAN flights to 61. The airline also announced new flights on the Jaipur-Surat, Mumbai-Amritsar, Bengaluru-Jabalpur, Kolkata- Kochi and Chennai-Varanasi sectors.
Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet said, “We are delighted to add Ras Al Khaimah as our 12th international destination. Ras Al Khaimah is a very special addition for us and a strong hub from where we have actively operated 350 cargo and 195 repatriation charter flights in the last few months. As one of the key and growing centers for trade and commerce, we see tremendous potential in this sector.”
“We are also strengthening our domestic network by launching new flights connecting metros and smaller towns and cities including the Mumbai-Adampur UDAN flight which follows our successful Delhi-Adampur flight. We see great demand on the routes we have announced today and will continue to strengthen our domestic network in the times to come.”
Ras Al Khaimah, the fourth-largest emirate of UAE, is less than 90 minutes’ drive from Dubai. Advanced infrastructure, hassle-free administration, quick access to seaports and international airports, etc., make Ras Al Khaimah a sought after destination for investment.
While flights on the Delhi-Ras Al Khaimah route will commence on 26th November, the domestic flights are effective 20th November. SpiceJet will operate flights between Delhi and Ras Al Khaimah twice-a-week. While the flight on the Delhi-Ras Al Khaimah route will be operational on Thursdays and Sundays, the flight on the return leg of Ras Al Khaimah-Delhi will operate on Fridays and Mondays. The airline will deploy its Boeing 737 NG aircraft on this sector.
SpiceJet’s flight SG 160 will depart from Delhi at 10:30 pm (all local times) and arrive in Ras Al Khaimah at 12:50 am the following day. The return flight SG 161 will depart at 1:50 am and reach Delhi at 6:40 am the same day. Celebrating the launch, SpiceJet has announced a special fare of INR 7578 (all-inclusive) for Delhi-Ras Al Khaimah and INR 6999 (all inclusive) for Ras Al Khaimah-Delhi.
With the new flights, passengers from Ras Al Khaimah will now be able to easily travel to a host of other cities on SpiceJet’s domestic network via multiple onward connections from Delhi.
