The BSF in its drive against Narcotics, on 27th April 2021, while acting on specific information, a Special Operation was planned by the BSF Intelligence Team of Frontier Mizoram & Cachar along with troops of 134 Bn BSF and the Local Police. During this Operation at about 1300 hrs, 03 suspected persons were learnt to have a deal of Yaba tablets near a shop owned by the accused namely Ashuk Ahmed S/o (L) Kamal Uddin R/o Kanakpur, Nilam Bazar, Karimganj. Immediately, the BSF Int Team along with troops caught hold of the 03 Indian nationals involved in Yaba tablets deal. During the search in the shop in the presence of Police party, seized 60,000 Nos of Yaba tablets and apprehended 03 Indian nationals involved during the deals of illegal Yaba tablets. Seized items along with 03 Indian nationals handed over to Nilam Bazar Police Station for further legal action after lodging FIR in this regard by BSF.
Earlier also, on 26th April 2021, acting on specific information, BSF troops of 07 Bn BSF managed to seize 1970 nos Yaba Tablet on NH -37 near Reliance Petrol Pump in the general area of Jabainpur.
