The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released a detailed analysis of the RAS Recruitment-2023 results. The analysis highlights a strong representation of candidates from rural backgrounds in the state’s administrative services.
According to the Commission’s analysis, 55.86 percent of the total selected candidates belong to rural areas. The Commission clarified that candidates’ schooling location was considered as the basis for determining their background.
Out of a total of 2,166 recommended candidates, 1,210 candidates (55.86%) are from rural areas, while 956 candidates (44.14%) come from urban backgrounds.
Educational Profile: 79% First-Division Graduates
An assessment of the academic records of selected candidates shows a higher success rate among those who secured First Division in graduation. Of the 2,166 recommended candidates, 1,707 are First Division graduates. Additionally, 38.64 percent (837 candidates) of the selected candidates are postgraduates.
Blend of Youth and Experience
Age-wise analysis indicates a healthy mix of young and experienced candidates:
21–30 years: 1,554 candidates (approximately 71.3%)
31–33 years: 266 candidates (12.21%)
60% Selected Candidates Were Already Employed
Data also reveal that 1,306 candidates (59.9%) were already working in government or private services at the time of selection, while 872 candidates were fresh entrants.
Jaipur and Rajasthan University Lead
Of the 2,178 candidates called for interviews, more than half (1,106 candidates) were from just six districts—Ajmer, Alwar, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Nagaur, and Sikar. Jaipur district accounted for the highest number with 364 candidates (16.71%).
Similarly, among the selected candidates, the highest number were from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, with 537 selections, followed by RTU Kota and MDS University, Ajmer.
Women Candidates
Under this recruitment, 283 posts were reserved for women, while 719 women candidates appeared in the interviews. This indicates that women candidates achieved success at 2.54 times the number of reserved posts.
