At the six-day Bharat Parv 2025 festival held at the historic Red Fort in New Delhi, Rajasthani chefs brought authentic flavors to the event by teaching attendees the art of preparing traditional Rajasthani dishes.
In the kitchen studio set up as part of the festival, the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with Pusa Institute of Hotel Management, organized live culinary demonstrations showcasing regional cuisines from across India. As part of this initiative, Babulal and his two brothers presented live cooking demonstrations of two iconic Rajasthani delicacies: Mirchi Bada and Mawa Kachori. They also shared detailed recipes with the audience.
Spectators and food enthusiasts who attended the session tasted the dishes prepared during the demonstration and praised the flavors enthusiastically. The chefs, using their rustic and traditional style, explained the entire process of making Mirchi Bada and Mawa Kachori in an engaging manner. They emphasized how Rajasthani cuisine varies with festivals, seasons, and the regional landscape. Being a desert-dominated state, Rajasthan boasts a unique culinary identity.
Assistant Director of Rajasthan Tourist Reception Center, New Delhi, Mr. Chhatrapal Yadav, highlighted that Rajasthan is renowned for its diverse array of dishes. He remarked that Rajasthani cuisine enjoys immense popularity both nationally and internationally. He also noted that Rajasthan has a prominent position in the food industry, with its food entrepreneurs gaining widespread acclaim for their skills and craftsmanship.
