Jaipur, July 22: Rajasthan Animal Husbandry, Cow Husbandry, Dairy and Devasthan Minister Joraram Kumawat conducted a surprise inspection of the Mobile Veterinary Unit (MVU) call centre in Jamdoli on Wednesday and issued strict directions to improve services for livestock owners.
During the inspection, five calling executives were found absent from duty. Taking serious note of the lapse, the minister directed that immediate disciplinary action be initiated against all five employees.
Calling Executive Posts to Increase from 44 to 60
To ensure faster resolution of calls and complaints from livestock owners, Minister Kumawat directed that the number of calling executive positions at the call centre be increased from 44 to 60. The move is aimed at reducing call waiting time and improving outreach to livestock owners.
Two Department Officials to Monitor Call Centre
To strengthen monitoring and ensure transparency in the functioning of the call centre, the minister directed that two officials from the Animal Husbandry Department be regularly deployed at the centre. They will monitor daily operations and employee attendance.
New Directions for Mobile Veterinary Units
The minister also issued new directions to strengthen animal treatment services. After a Mobile Veterinary Unit reaches the location and treats a sick animal, the livestock owner will be required to sign a register as confirmation of the service.
A prescribed performa/register will also be maintained at every Mobile Veterinary Unit. In case any call remains pending for any reason, it will be shifted to the next day's list, ensuring that treatment of the sick animal is provided without fail.
