Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that Rajasthan will host the Khelo India University Games for the first time, beginning 24 November 2025, marking a major milestone in the state’s sports landscape. Around 24 sporting disciplines will be featured, with participation from university athletes across the country.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office, Sharma directed officials to ensure wide publicity to connect youth across the state with the Games and to share details about events, venues, and athletes. He emphasized that the successful organization of the Games should set a benchmark for Rajasthani hospitality.
The Chief Minister reviewed security, accommodation, traffic management, cleanliness, beautification, and medical facilities at all divisional headquarters hosting the events. He also instructed authorities to ensure live telecast arrangements and adequate medical teams at every competition and accommodation site.
Sharma stressed that public representatives and celebrated sportspersons—both national and international—must be invited to participate. The Rajasthan State Sports Council has formed committees at both the state and divisional levels, and Sports Authority of India (SAI) officials, along with representatives of national sports federations, have already inspected the venues and housing arrangements.

Sharma instructed officials to involve the maximum number of youth and citizens in events between 31 October and 25 November, including activities promoting self-reliance and national integration. The Higher Education Department has been directed to encourage students’ participation in the Sardar@150 Young Leader Quiz, Reel Competition, and Essay Contest.
