Jaipur, February 11, 2026 — The Rajasthan government, in Budget 2026-27, announced a major push toward women empowerment, child development, nutrition, and digital inclusion, with large-scale upgrades in Anganwadi infrastructure and expanded financial support for rural women.
Anganwadi Modernisation & Child Welfare
The government will transform 7,500 Anganwadi centres into modern ‘Nand Ghars’ with an allocation of ₹225 crore. In a major step toward improving basic infrastructure, 17,895 Anganwadi centres will receive electricity connections for the first time, while repair work worth ₹246 crore is underway for 11,924 centres.
To support education and skill development, the state will launch a 24×7 AI-based live mentoring service in collaboration with IIT Delhi for children and adolescent girls. Additionally, supplementary nutrition will now be extended to adolescent girls across all 27 aspirational blocks, including Karauli, Dholpur, Baran, Jaisalmer and Sirohi, benefiting over 50,000 girls.
The government also announced expansion of child welfare infrastructure. The Jamdoli Child Home capacity will be increased from 125 to 250, while Women Empowerment and Child Integrated Service Campuses will be developed in Bharatpur and Kota, offering multiple services under one roof.
Women Empowerment & Rural Employment
Finance Minister Diya Kumari announced enhanced financial support under the Chief Minister Lakhpati Didi scheme, increasing the subsidised loan limit from ₹1 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh to strengthen women-led entrepreneurship. So far, over 16 lakh women have entered the Lakhpati Didi category, and the government aims to expand this base further.
To generate local employment and promote digital inclusion, the state will establish district-level Rural Women BPO centres, enabling educated rural women to work closer to home. The government has earmarked ₹100 crore for setting up and operating these centres, aiming to integrate rural women into the digital and IT ecosystem while boosting self-reliance.
