Giving fresh momentum to electronics and IT manufacturing in Chhattisgarh, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has approved the release of the first installment of ₹22.50 crore for the proposed Common Facility Centre (CFC) project in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. The funding has been sanctioned under the Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMC 2.0) Scheme.
The project will be implemented by the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority (NRANVP). The responsibility for evaluation and monitoring has been assigned to Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), which had recommended the release of this first installment.
This approval marks a significant step towards developing Nava Raipur as a hub for electronics manufacturing and IT hardware. The Common Facility Centre will provide industries with shared infrastructure, advanced technical facilities, testing services, and innovation support, which is expected to attract investment and generate new employment opportunities for local youth.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that this decision by the Central Government is a milestone in Chhattisgarh’s industrial development and technological self-reliance. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh is moving rapidly towards realizing the vision of “Make in India” and “Digital India.” Developing Nava Raipur into a modern industrial and technology-driven city remains a key priority of the state government.
Expressing confidence, the Chief Minister said that the Common Facility Centre to be established under the EMC 2.0 Scheme will not only strengthen investor confidence but also provide a strong foundation for the goals of Developed Chhattisgarh and Developed India @2047. He conveyed his gratitude to the Central Government and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for their support.
