Raipur, 16 November 2025
At the inauguration of paddy procurement for the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26, farmer Shri Ganga Yadav from Village Jheeling was the first to sell his paddy at the procurement center located at Gamharia Chowk in Jashpur district. He said, “With the money earned from selling my paddy, I will buy a vehicle for myself.”
Farmer Ganga Yadav shared that last year he sold around 150 quintals of paddy at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). With the profit earned, he started a shop and became financially self-reliant. He added that this year, he plans to purchase a vehicle. Appreciating the arrangements at the procurement centers made by the government, he said that all facilities are well-organized, ensuring that farmers do not face any inconvenience.
As per government directives, all paddy procurement centers in the district have been equipped with micro-ATM facilities, ‘Token Tuhar Dwar’ system, and other essential arrangements to ensure ease and transparency in the paddy selling process for farmers.
Under the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, paddy procurement has begun smoothly across the state from 15 November. In Jashpur district, farmers are not facing any difficulties. Tokens are being issued easily, and farmers are bringing their paddy to the committees on their scheduled dates.
