Under the Chief Minister’s Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, a one-day orientation workshop was organized by the Rural Development Department at Indira Gandhi Institute of Panchayati Raj and Rural Development on Thursday.
Presiding over the inaugural session, Secretary, Rural Development Department, Manju Rajpal and Commissioner MNREGA, Mrs. Shivangi Swarankar informed the participants about the importance of the scheme and its various aspects. The participants were told that additional 25 days of employment would be provided to the families who completed 100 days of employment under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme in the year 2022-23.
During the various sessions throughout the day, they were informed about the eligibility of individuals for the scheme, individual benefits and group benefits allowed in the scheme, arrangement of funds, the status of convergence of this scheme with other schemes, application in the scheme and its scrutiny and acceptance. Information about various technical aspects including the process was given in the workshop.
Under the scheme, 5 master trainers are getting training from each district at the state level. After the training, on October 31, they will give training to all the block level trainers like Development Officer, Assistant Engineer, Assistant Accounts Officer, Junior Engineer and MIS Manager in the district level workshop. On November 2 at every Panchayat Samiti level, training will be given to all Sarpanches, Village Development Officers, JTAs, Junior Assistants, Employment Assistants by Block Level Trainers.
