Subodh Kumar Singh, the Director General (DG) of the National Testing Agency (NTA), has been removed from his position. He will be replaced by retired IAS officer Pradeep Singh Kharola as the new DG of NTA. Amid the NEET and UGC-NET paper leak controversies, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had stated that any NTA officials found guilty would face strict action, regardless of their position. Additionally, on Saturday, the Ministry of Education formed a high-level committee to reform the NTA and investigate the paper leak cases. Just hours after the committee's formation, the DG of NTA was removed from his post. This move is seen as a significant step by the government in addressing the paper leak issue.

Furthermore, the NEET-PG entrance exam scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed. The Ministry of Health announced that the new exam date will be notified soon. In light of recent incidents raising questions about the integrity of some competitive exams, the Ministry of Health has decided to conduct a thorough evaluation of the NEET-PG entrance exam processes carried out by the National Board of Examinations for medical students.
