The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) conducted a multi-state mock exercise on earthquake preparedness in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) yesterday. The objective was to evaluate the readiness and response mechanisms of state governments in mitigating the impact of a high-intensity earthquake.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal were briefed at the Emergency Operation Centre of the Divisional Commissioner, Delhi. Preparedness measures were reviewed through interactions with the Chief Secretary and senior officials.
